We are expanding our bench to meet increasing demand for high‑calibre commercial legal expertise across the financial services industry. BFlex offers you the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge projects while maintaining control over your schedule and preferred working arrangements.
As a BFlex lawyer, you will advise on a broad range of commercial matters within financial services, supporting in‑house teams and external clients on strategic legal and regulatory issues. Work may include advising on complex commercial contracts, technology and outsourcing arrangements, manufacturing and supply agreements, product development, fintech initiatives, and risk management. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with key players in the sector and contribute to high‑impact projects shaping the future of financial services in the UK.
Key clients include:
Banks, building societies, fintechs, investment firms, asset managers, insurance providers, and other regulated financial institutions.

Responsibilities
- Delivering Expertise: Provide high‑quality commercial advice within financial services, including commercial contracts, outsourcing, technology, and regulatory‑linked commercial matters.
- Flexibility: Manage your own schedule while meeting client expectations and project requirements.
- Growing our Network: Contribute to the BFlex community and share insights with fellow practitioners.
- Developing our Business: Build relationships, understand client needs, and collaborate to support mutual growth.
- Significant experience advising on commercial matters within the financial services sector (e.g., retail banking, fintech, payments, insurance, asset management, or investment services).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and seamlessly integrate into in‑house legal teams.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for varied, fast‑paced assignments.
- Must be an SRA‑regulated solicitor or registered with the Law Society of Scotland.
