Overall Purpose Of The Role

Verify the conformity of component parts and assemblies.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Inspect parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable data package requirements, using a range of measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, and faro arms.
  • Inspect component parts to verify applicable machine tool set up processes,
  • Inspect component parts and assemblies in accordance with batch sampling requirements,
  • Complete formal First Article inspection activities,
  • Complete component and assembly testing in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP),
  • Process / complete non-conformance related documentation (when applicable),
  • Support inspection related tasks / activities at non Ipeco locations (when required),
  • Complete / authorise formal release certification (when required),
  • To adhere to Company policies and procedures,
  • To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures, and
  • To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working within an engineering environment
  • Relevant experience in inspection activities
  • Ability to read engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial units
  • Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment
  • Proficient on IT systems, including MS Office
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of Ipecos core manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of quality standards (9001 Quality Management)
  • Proven experience working with SAP ERP or similar
  • Understanding and experience of First Article Inspection requirements
