Description
Job Purpose
To primarily carry out Inspection activities in support of operations and asset management tasks. This is a hybrid role and will also require the successful applicant to support mechanical fitting activities when Inspection tasks are not required.
To manage all inspection equipment ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and remains calibrated and fit for purpose.
To complete work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while following company procedures and maintaining equipment and workplace integrity.

Key Duties
- Dimensionally inspect goods received and manufactured to tight tolerances utilising a variety of measuring equipment.
- Create inspection reports in line with company procedures
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings to measure and inspect mechanical components.
- Carry out measurements to confirm specified tolerances and surface finishes.
- CMM / Faro arm operation.
- Calibration of Metrology / Measurement equipment including upkeep of electronic register.
- Use hand and power tools safely for bench fitting, marking off, and assembly tasks.
- Proven track record of carrying out inspection activities in a similar engineering sector
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to mechanical fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
