What you can expect

Our Finite Element Analysis (FEA) team supports ROSEN’s Engineering and Consultancy activities by delivering high‑quality structural assessments of pipeline anomalies and associated pressure equipment. This role contributes to ROSEN’s commitment to excellence in integrity evaluation by performing advanced finite element modelling, supporting multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring assessments comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Integrity Engineer plays a key role in analysing in‑service anomalies, preparing technical reports, and supporting both commercial client projects and internal R&D initiatives. The position strengthens ROSEN’s capabilities in FEA-driven integrity assessments through accurate modelling, clear communication, and adherence to ROSEN’s global technical frameworks. Responsibilities include:

• Build, run, and document Abaqus finite element models for dent and anomaly assessments, applying appropriate loading, material behaviour, and contact definitions.
• Perform assessment of pipeline, pressure vessel, and storage tank anomalies in accordance with recognised industry codes and standards.

Participate in training and development programs to advance technical and professional capabilities.

Share lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling tools, methods, and workflows.

What you will bring

• Minimum Batchelors degree in a Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on FEA experience in a production/engineering environment (including nonlinear analyses).
• Proficiency with Abaqus/Standard (and familiarity with Abaqus/CAE GUI)
• Abaqus scripting interface (Abaqus python, mdb API) to build pre-/post-processing workflows
• Ability to produce clear, traceable technical reports, with model assumptions, boundary conditions, sensitivity studies, and acceptance against stated criteria.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain complex FEA results to non-FEA stakeholders and manage expectations
• Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section VIII, Division 2 Parts 5 & 3 methods (strain limits/stress categorisation, plastic collapse checks) and API 1183 (assessment and management of dents)
• Knowledge of pipeline loading scenarios: internal pressure cycling, external loads, dent + gouge interactions, restraint effects, residual stress
