I’m recruiting for an Intellectual Property Lead to support the safe, compliant and effective management of licensed engineering and design data that underpins one of the largest and most impactful infrastructure projects in the country.

This is your opportunity to shape governance on a multi‑billion‑pound programme at the forefront of the UK’s energy transformation.

As IP Lead you will be the main point of contact for all Intellectual Property matters, ensuring the effective use of licensed technical data shared under the Intellectual Property Licensing Agreement (IPLA).

You’ll work across engineering, legal, supply chain, IT and project delivery teams to maintain strong governance, smooth processes and clear compliance pathways.

What You’ll Do

Develop, maintain and communicate the IP governance framework for licensed technical data.
Ensure operational control of IPLA processes and documentation.
Serve as the first point of contact

for IP queries, escalating complex issues appropriately.

Support contractual compliance, balancing obligations with project delivery needs.

Work cross‑functionally with Legal, IT, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve challenges.

Represent IP in audits, reviews and wider governance forums.

Lead continuous improvement of tools, workflows and service design.

Enable secure and traceable data sharing.

Essential Experience

Proven experience in UK regulated environments.
Strong project or service management background with process improvement capability.
Experience in governance, risk or regulated programme delivery.
Ability to interpret and apply contractual terms across multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Confident decision‑maker, comfortable working with ambiguity.
Outstanding communication and facilitation abilities.
Experience managing compliance portfolios in complex engineering projects.
