Interim CTO — PE Backed Luxury Retail Brand

Hybrid, London, UK · Contract · 6 Months


ABOUT THE BUSINESS

A PE backed luxury retail brand with a strong global presence and significant commercial momentum. The business is at an inflection point scaling rapidly and transitioning from a digitally-native model into omnichannel retail. They are now building out their technology function and need a senior leader to come in and own this.


THE CHALLENGE

The business has outgrown its current technology setup and needs someone to come in, take stock, and build the foundations for the next stage of growth. There is meaningful work to do across ERP, ecommerce infrastructure, data, governance, and omnichannel retail systems. At present there is lack of internal capability, so a roadmap and hiring plan, build vs buy decisions also need to be incorporated.


THE ROLE

Key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of a live ERP implementation

• Evaluate the current technology stack against future scale requirements

• Define and deliver the roadmap for omnichannel and retail expansion

• Introduce governance, SLAs, and operational controls

• Build data and reporting foundations across the business

• Act as the most senior technical voice in the organisation


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Senior technology leadership experience within fast-growth consumer or retail brands

• Strong ecommerce platform expertise at scale

• Hands-on ERP experience, ideally implementation-led

• Omnichannel and retail technology background (online, shopify, POS, inventory, fulfilment)

• Experience operating in complex or shared-service technology environments

• Comfortable being the most senior technical person
