Interim Financial Controller | Rapidly Scaling Global SaaS Scale-Up | Remote
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing SaaS business in their search for an experienced Interim Financial Controller on a remote contract basis. The company has developed a market-leading platform used by enterprise customers and is backed by strategic investors as it expands internationally.
This role will suit a technically strong accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, enjoys ownership of core financial processes, and is comfortable driving improvements across reporting, controls and planning.
The Role
Reporting directly into the CEO, you will take responsibility for the full finance cycle and financial control framework. You’ll lead the delivery of timely and accurate financial information, manage key month-end and year-end processes, and work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen reporting and planning capabilities as the business continues its rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage month-end close, ensuring timely delivery of management accounts, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Own the year-end process, supporting statutory reporting and audit deliverables.
• Oversee accurate balance sheet reconciliations and financial control processes.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide value-adding financial insight and variance analysis.
• Support the enhancement of forecasting, budgeting and planning processes, bringing structure and forward-looking rigour.
• Drive continuous improvements in systems, reporting packs and finance processes to support scale.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance across financial operations.
• Provide ad-hoc finance support and analysis to senior leadership as required.
What We Need to See (Essential)
• Experienced accountant with strong technical capability, ideally with exposure to SaaS or technology environments.
Day Rate: £400–£550 per day
Contract Length: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
