Salary: L15 – L21 (£82,888 to £94,491 pa)
St Luke’s is a fantastic school that provide excellent educational opportunities and outcomes in the heart of EC1. There is exceptional energy and commitment on the part of the staff team and St Luke’s is a truly happy setting for adults and children, with excellent results.
We work closely with other local primary schools, and in particular we work with Moreland School which is currently federated with St Luke’s, with the Headteachers of St Luke’s and Moreland working together under the strategic direction of the federation governing board.
We are looking for an Interim Headteacher to join us as soon as possible, for a handover period from 13 th – 17 th April. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to guide our school through its next stage of development.
The successful candidates will take full responsibility of the school, ensuring high standards and driving further improvement.

- Provide effective strategic and operational leadership across the school.
- Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral provision.
- Maintain strong safeguarding practices and statutory improvement.
- Support, motivate, and develop staff at all levels.
- Experienced senior leader with a proven track record of school improvement.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and team-leadership skills.
- Able to start immediately for an effective handover period with the current Headteacher from 13 th – 17 th April.
