International Foundation Year Tutor
Greenwich
Fixed-term, ad-hoc hours during the academic year – commencing mid-September 2026 to June 2027. Onboarding training end of August.
Minimum 5 hours per week between Monday and Friday, 09:00-17:30
£40.00 per hour, plus holiday pay
Located on-site in Greenwich, IFY Tutor deliver highly effective Business/Physics and Maths (including Statistics) - related modules within an International Foundation Year (IFY) programme. The post holder will ensure students are fully supported in subject knowledge, academic skills, and progression to Higher Education in the UK. The role requires high academic standards, strong student support, and the ability to teach using Western conventions and methodologies.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject, Business/Physics/Maths (UK graduate level or equivalent)
Essential & Highly Desirable Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience, in Sixth Form, College/School, FE or HE context, using Western-style syllabi and methodologies. (E)
A recognised teaching qualification in the relevant subject, such as a PGCE, is highly desirable.
Experience teaching Business/Physics/Maths at A-Level - Highly Desirable
Experience delivering Project Skills (Project based learning for specialists in STEM or/and Business) (Desirable)
Experience in international education or UK foundation programmes is Highly Desirable
Experience teaching English as a second language (Desirable)
Safeguarding and Prevent understanding (E)
Key Responsibilities
Learning, Teaching, and Assessment
Produce high-quality learning materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans
Prepare students thoroughly for assessments and university progression
Mark, assess and upload assessment documentation, grades, reports, and feedback on time
Student Support and Progression
Provide academic guidance, pastoral care, and one-to-one support
Contribute to personal tutoring to support learning and wellbeing
Quality and Professional Standards
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Prevent, EDI, academic integrity, and health and safety requirements
Participate in teaching observations, standardisation, and QA processes
Deliver programmes and learning activities to required academic, regulatory, and industry standards
