Total Remuneration: £47,590 to £54,482

Pay Supplement: The base salary for this role is £41,026 -£46,968. This job qualifies for Digital, Data and Technology Annual Pay supplement 16% is included in the total remuneration above.

Pension: 28.97% (RoS contribution)

Annual Leave: 38 days annual holiday, increasing to 42 days with length of service.

Duration: Permanent.

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week. We are a flexible employer and will consider a variety of working patterns.

Location: Home / Office hybrid working. Offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Role

Responsible for overseeing all IT Asset Management (“ITAM”) activities across the organisation.

• Oversee and optimise the management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
• Work with Product Managers to ensure that RoS has the right IT assets to meet its current and future needs, while minimising costs, risks, and waste.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to IT assets.
• Improve IT service quality and efficiency by reducing downtime, enhancing performance, and facilitating upgrades and replacements.
• Maximise IT asset value and return on investment by aligning IT assets with business objectives, reducing unnecessary spending, and identifying opportunities for reuse and redeployment.

On a typical day you will…

• Oversee the asset discovery process to identify all IT assets within the organization.
• Develop and implement an effective asset management strategy.
• Build, maintain, and regularly update the company’s IT asset (including but not limited to) hardware, software and certificate inventory.
• Evaluate the organisation’s asset requirements and coordinate their acquisition.
• Create, implement, and optimise policies for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets.
• Ensure assets are compliant with organizational policies throughout their lifecycle.
• Manage day-to-day asset processes including
• inbound deliveries including unloading and recording of new assets
• outbound deliveries including liaison with couriers
• managing stock control (including space management)
• analysis of product supply levels
• predict inventory problems and shortages.
• producing regular reports and statistics on stock levels and consumption rates
• coordination of re-stocking requirements and procurement
• coordination of WEEE equipment recycling
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Service Desk, Procurement, IT Enablement, Estates, Finance and Product teams
• Continuous improvement of inventory management processes and practices
• Develop opportunities for asset management in other areas within RoS and develop strategies to extend our principles and practices into those areas
• Knowledge Base articles to be created, regularly reviewed, and updated for each process
