IT Support Apprentice
Are you interested in IT but not sure how to launch your career? Can you commute to Trafford Park, Manchester? Are you interested in learning on the job with day release to college? If so, an IT Apprenticeship with Essity could be perfect for you.
At Essity we manufacture and sell products that are used every day, we break taboos and challenge convention, all with the intention of breaking down barriers to health and well-being globally. At our Trafford Park site we manufacture tissue and towel products under two of our leading brands - Cushelle toilet tissue and Plenty kitchen roll, both essential every day products.
About The Role
As an IT Apprentice you will be supporting a diverse team on site with day-to-day IT issues. These are typically second line support issues needing a little more focus. You will also get the opportunity to provide remote support to users across the UK and get involved with project work. This is a great opportunity to commence a career in IT, learning from experienced colleagues combined with academic learning.

What You Will Do
The IT Apprenticeship blends college and work-based learning. Whilst at work you will have the opportunity to put your learning into practice with the support of a knowledgeable and experienced team. Your days will be made up of providing support to the site users, managing service requests logged on the company’s IT Service system and assisting with managing the local network, servers, and infrastructure, including rollouts and installations. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with projects which may involve travel to other sites across the North West.
You will work to obtain a nationally recognised apprenticeship as an IT Apprentice. Working Monday to Friday you will spend four days on site and one day per week at our partner college – Trafford College.
