The role
We are seeking a Junior Company Secretarial Assistant to join the growing Business Services Group at Saffery. This is a newly created national team, designed to lead and define the firm’s company secretarial offering, and provide support across the firm to partners and staff in the delivery of this key service. This is an excellent entry‑level role for someone looking to build a career in company secretarial work or corporate governance. The role is primarily administrative, with a strong focus on supporting statutory compliance and assisting with routine Companies House filings.
You will work closely with senior members of the team and play an active part in the growth, development, and standardisation of company secretarial processes across the firm, helping to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of service that the team provides
The role reports to the Outsourcing and Accounts Partner and the Company Secretarial manager.

The role reports to the Outsourcing and Accounts Partner and the Company Secretarial manager.
The Responsibilities
- Maintaining statutory books and records via company secretarial software
- Preparation and submission of documents for filing at Companies House, including confirmation statements
The Business Advisory Group advise businesses ranging from large multi-national corporations to small family-run companies. You will work across a huge variety of sectors including real estate, recruitment, retail and hospitality, financial services, not-for-profit and sports and entertainment.
Our clients range from entrepreneurial owner managed businesses to medium-large international groups.

You
- This role would suit someone who has entry‑level experience in a legal or accounting environment, such as junior role in a law firm, accountancy practice, or corporate services provider
- Have had some exposure to Companies House filings or basic legal entity administration.
- Have familiarity with professional services workflows, client communication, or regulated environments.
- Demonstrate a passion for delivering quality, ensuring that client needs are met.
- Flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with managers, partners and clients.
- Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and excellent eye for detail.
- Experience using company secretarial software desirable.
- A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
