Balfour Beatty is looking for a highly influential and forward‑thinking Lead Employee Relations & Industrial Relations Business Partner to shape the future of ER and IR across Balfour Beatty’s UK operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with senior HR and business leaders to deliver a consistent, high‑quality ‘one team’ HR service while driving the strategic direction of our UK Industrial Relations Plan.
This is a highly influential role where you’ll lead the translation of emerging workforce trends, legislation and sector‑wide developments into practical actions that strengthen our IR strategy and support long‑term business needs. Acting as a trusted expert, you will advise leaders on complex ER and IR challenges, providing early insights, scenario planning and risk mitigation to help the organisation navigate a continually evolving landscape.
The location for role is UK flexible, with some travel required across the UK.

- Lead the creation, delivery and continuous improvement of the UK‑wide Industrial Relations Plan, ensuring it is evidence‑based and aligned to future business needs.
