Role Description
We are seeking experienced Lead Field Service Technicians for a full-time positions. The role involves performing inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs of lifeboats and launch equipment. Tasks include detailed reporting on inspections, identifying additional work requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, guiding and leading field operations, and maintaining communication with both clients and internal teams. The position also involves traveling to various locations to provide on-site services as needed.
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems related to maritime or similar industries.
- Inspection Expertise: Familiarity with lifeboat equipment inspections, compliance with SOLAS regulations, and the ability to assess operational readiness.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair skills in both planned and unplanned maintenance scenarios.
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead service operations, provide team guidance, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Organizational Skills: Capability to document detailed inspection reports
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications or training in mechanical/electrical systems, and knowledge of international maritime safety standards, preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to travel extensively and work in physically demanding environments, including offshore or confined spaces.
