We’re looking for a strategic and driven leader to take ownership of how we manage our government partnerships, contracts, and regulatory excellence.
In this high-impact role, you’ll ensure full compliance with the National Rail Contract (NRC) and other regulatory requirements, while acting as a trusted advisor across the business. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping compliance culture, influencing senior stakeholders, and safeguarding our contractual standing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as deputy to the Head of Department, providing leadership when required
- Drive compliance with NRC and regulatory, obligations across the organisation
- Embed a culture of compliance excellence through training and engagement
- Oversee regulatory and contractual deliverables, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
- Manage and mitigate compliance risks with robust reporting and governance
- Lead contract mobilisation and demobilisation activities, ensuring seamless transitions
- Act as a key point of contact for the Department for Transport (DfT) and other regulatory bodies
- Track and close contractual obligations in line with agreed timelines
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in railway compliance, planning, or regulatory roles (transport or infrastructure preferred)
- Strong understanding of industry contractual frameworks and governance processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement
- Ability to manage complex risks and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership experience with a passion for developing others
- Strong communication and influencing skills
