About The Role
- Design and evolve high-performance, scalable software architectures that act as a force multiplier for engineering teams.
- Lead the breakdown and delivery of large, complex technical initiatives into clear, achievable milestones.
- Provide deep technical leadership across system architecture, raising the overall technical bar of the team.
- Act as a go-to technical authority across multiple codebases, languages, and domains.
- Own the delivery of major projects end-to-end, driving progress, unblocking teams, and ensuring meaningful outcomes.
- You build performant, evolutionary architectures grounded in best practices.
- You have strong system-level technical understanding and enjoy helping others deepen theirs.
- You are highly proficient across multiple languages and codebases, including strong experience with Haskell.
- You write high-quality, well-tested code and use appropriate testing strategies (unit, property-based, integration).
- You balance pragmatism with quality, acting decisively without over-optimising for perfection.
- You inspire and retain teams, creating an environment where people are challenged and supported to grow.
- You think deeply about organisational dynamics and proactively improve processes and team health.
- You communicate complex ideas clearly and build alignment across teams and stakeholders.
