Job Title: Lead Project Professional – Delivery

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. Onsite.

Salary: £47,271+ depending on skills and experience

What You’ll Be Doing

  • End-to-end management of multiple projects
  • Plan, monitor and control project scope, schedule and delivery across the full lifecycle
  • Maintain project documentation and manage risks, issues and contractual deviations
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management
  • Manage Principal and Sub-Contractors through construction phases
  • Oversee project budgets, financial applications and capital spend forecasting
  • Review method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation
  • Facilitate design reviews and lead regular project meetings
  • Ensure effective control of cost, quality and programme during site implementation
  • Prioritise workload and coordinate deliverables through proactive stakeholder engagement

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experience applying project management and planning processes
  • Background in construction, engineering or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating contractors
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions

  • Desirable

    • Qualification in Construction, Engineering or Project Management
    • Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH)

    The Site & Facilities Major Projects Department

    Would you like to play a key role in shaping, managing and maintaining the infrastructure of the BAE Systems Site? We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Project Professional at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

    As a Lead Project Professional, you will be working within the Site & Facilities Major Projects Department and will be responsible for the refurbishment and construction of existing and new facilities across an extensive industrial site.

    This role will provide you with the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic project team. You will have the freedom to make decisions over the delivery of a wide variety of construction, engineering and civil-related projects ranging from £5k to multi-million. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
