You will play a vital role supporting the Principal Superintendent Radiographer with the operational management of the department. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and continue to develop excellent patient focused care.
You will have extensive clinical knowledge of Primary Imaging, IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017.
Radiology at Bradford provides a comprehensive imaging service supporting the wide spectrum of clinical work undertaken in the Trust. We cover multiple sites including Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke's and a CDC. We have 4 CT and 4 MR scanners, Vascular and Intervention rooms along with ultrasound rooms, general and A&E x-ray rooms with CR/DR equipment. All major clinical specialties, with the exceptions of transplant surgery, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery are represented in the Trust.
Act as Deputy to Principal Superintendent Radiographer. Use own initiative and action own decisions.
Self prioritisation within VUCA working environments. workloads
Support development of Trust's values, aims and objectives.
Maintain effective fault reporting systems
Demonstrate understanding of legislative issues through practical application and monitoring of guidance.
Annual staff appraisal
Provide pastoral care/counselling support to staff
Investigate/respond to complaints/safety incidents, ensuring lessons learnt from concerns raised are shared and action taken to prevent recurrence.
Responsible for day to day delivery of all Trust/ national initiatives where appropriate and have input into local policies/ protocols/work instructions to ensure effective delivery.
Through management and leadership of staff ensure smooth running of the service. Includes re-allocation of workload and/or resources as necessary.
Clearly communicate complex, sensitive information with users of the service, across all age groups and abilities
Undertake recruitment and selection
Ensure Quality Imaging Standards for Imaging (QSI) are monitored and suggest improvements when required.
Act as radiation protection supervisor.
Assist in coordinating collection, analysis and presentation of appropriate quantitative and qualitative activity related data and technical performance of radiographic staff.
To assist in the training, induction and preceptorship of staff.
