This post is responsible for meeting the objectives defined in the Tobacco Dependence Delivery Model defined by NHSE. Scope and range To ensure that the Tobacco Dependence Programme delivers its specified outputs within agreed time, cost and quality tolerances with the Acute ward. To ensure that all Smoking Dependence data metrics for the Acute ward are obtained and delivered. To support the mobilisation and delivery of the Tobacco Dependence programme.
Duties and responsibilities
To deliver the Tobacco Dependence programme aims and objectives. To ensure that the project delivers the outcomes/ benefits that it aims to achieve. To ensure that the project meets pre-defined stakeholders’ expectations. To support the mobilisation and delivery of the tobacco dependence programme within the acute ward. To manage the Smoking Cessation Advisor. To develop and maintain strong relationships between the ICS programme lead and other organisations delivering Tobacco Dependence schemes. To support the priorities of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust in relation to this project. To support and co-ordinate the delivery of programmes arising from the NHSE Tobacco Dependence programme. To work closely with IT to ensure that the data metrics are achieved, collated and collected in a timely manner. To work with departments across PAH to secure a collective approach to smoking cessation and smoke free hospitals. To support the analysis of Smoking Cessation including the impact of any changes e.g. increase in quit rates, including writing regular reports detailing patterns and trends. To implement and promote the Trust’s policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery.
