The
RSK Group are recruiting for a
Corporate/Commercial Lawyer with at least
4 years PQE to join our extremely busy inhouse legal team, which is primarily based in
Helsby, Cheshire.
This is a
full-time, permanent position
(40 hours per week), with flexible working arrangements available.

Responsibilities: To provide vital day to day, high quality legal support to the business reporting directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary.To provide legal advice and assistance to the Group’s subsidiaries, in particular but not exclusively in the MEA region and other jurisdictions in which the Group operates, on a range of legal corporate and commercial including but not limited to:- client contracts, in particular international construction and engineering sector standard form originated contract (FIDIC, NEC 3 & 4 and JCT) and general commercial contracts
- international acquisitions, incorporations and restructuring requirements
- corporate compliance obligations, including powers of attorney, memoranda of association, key local legal obligations
- legal and compliance onboarding of new businesses into the Group and advising and cascading certain Group requirements to all subsidiaries within agreed remit.
- Updating and advising the General Counsel & Company Secretary and relevant divisional directors on legal requirements and new legislative requirements.
- To provide other legal advice required by the Group businesses and ad-hoc duties.
- To support a collaborative and proactive relationship with the Group’s businesses.
- To report regularly to the General Counsel and the relevant Divisional Directors on matter status and participate in team meetings and cross-Group forums as required.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE
- Law Degree/GDL/MA Law or equivalent
- Extensive experience of FIDIC, NEC 3 &4 and JCT contracts
- Good knowledge and experience of key civil legal systems, in particular in the MEA region
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role, providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice to support the business’s strategy
- Ability to analyse, interpret and work to a high level of accuracy with a keen eye for detail
- Approachable with effective communication and organisational skills
- Team player and wiling to ‘roll sleeves up’
- Self-motivated and can show initiative
