Role Description
This is a part-time, 32 hours per week, on-site role based at Care UK’s Carpathia Grange Care Home in Hythe for a Lifestyle Lead. The Lifestyle Lead will design, plan, and coordinate engaging activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of care home residents. Responsibilities include encouraging participation, fostering a sense of community, and creating inclusive opportunities to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for residents. The role requires regular collaboration with the care team and families to ensure all activities align with resident needs and preferences.
Qualifications
- Experience in planning and organising activities for diverse groups, including individuals with different physical and cognitive abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate and engage residents, staff, and families.
- Creativity and adaptability to develop innovative and inclusive activities and programs.
- Basic understanding of the needs of older adults, including individuals with dementia or other medical conditions.
- A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older adults and promoting active lifestyles.
- First aid training and knowledge of health and safety protocols (preferred).
- Experience working in a care home or with older adults is an advantage.
