We're hiring a Logistics Co-ordinator | Coventry | World of Books
Every year, World of Books reuses or recycles over 85 million books — keeping them out of landfill and in the hands of readers around the world.
Behind that operation is a logistics network that makes it all possible. And right now, we're looking for an experienced Logistics Co-ordinator to join our Coventry team and help keep it running smoothly.
What the role involves
You'll be the engine behind our charity collection network — planning and scheduling book collections across the UK, optimising routes, coordinating stock movement between depot hubs, and keeping our warehouse yard running safely and efficiently. You'll work with our Max Optra transport planning system and liaise with charity partners, haulage companies and internal teams every day.
This is a hands-on, on-site role (based at our Coventry warehouse) covering either a 06:00–16:00 or 10:00–18:00 shift pattern.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
• Experience in route planning and transport coordination in a B2B environment
• Confidence using transport planning systems
• Strong stakeholder management skills — across partners, contractors and internal teams
• A solutions-focused, can-do mindset in a fast-paced operational setting
• The flexibility to adapt when priorities change quickly
Why World of Books?
We're a certified B Corp and one of the world's leading re-commerce businesses — founded on the belief that books deserve a second life. We operate across the UK, US and Hungary, with over 1,000 employees and a mission that genuinely shapes how we work every day.
This is logistics with a purpose.
