Logistics Manager

Reporting to: Head of Production & Supply Chain

Sheffield


Are you a commercially minded Logistics Manager with strong international freight experience? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of global logistics operations, optimise freight costs, and build strategic partnerships across a growing industrial business.

You’ll lead all shipping, transport, and customs activity, ensuring products move efficiently and compliantly worldwide. Experience in steel, metals, or heavy industry is a real advantage.


The Role

  • Lead the global logistics strategy across sea, air, and road freight.
  • Manage international and domestic shipments, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate freight agreements and build long-term supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Implement strong logistics processes, KPIs, and reporting tools.
  • Work closely with sales, production, procurement, and finance to support delivery planning and cost modelling.


About You

  • Proven experience in a senior logistics or freight management role.
  • Strong background in international transport operations.
  • Skilled negotiator with strong commercial awareness.
  • Expert understanding of Incoterms and global trade compliance.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and confident in managing complex logistics networks.
  • Industry experience in steel, metals, or manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
