  • *Static, single site role, so no vehicle provided*
  • £45,520 salary, OTE 50k plus
  • Mon to Fri
  • Week 1 - 7AM - 153PM, Week 2 - 830 - 1630PM
  • Site based in Luton
  • Overtime available
  • 1 week in 4 call out for Luton site only with £100 retainer and 4 hrs double time if called out


Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's site in Luton, a 10 min walk from the city centre.


The site is a two building operation, with a corporate office and testing/manufacturing site. The client are a defence sector contractor.


This is a fast paced operation with a number of M&E assts that need to be maintained by the engineering team of 5 in total.


Working within this team you will work to a pre determined PPM regimen while also completing reactive repairs


*We are happy to consider engineers from either a mechanical, electrical or fabric background, permitting you have the attitude and skills to complete tasks outside your core qualification, ie a plumber completing more general mechanical and fabric tasks.


This is a fantastic role for a qualified Engineer looking to work within a single site, with good work variety and excellent earning potential


Actions will include:


  • Performing scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned mechanical equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Responsible for additional building services maintenance, including minor fabric and electrical related tasks.
  • Monitoring systems and equipment in operation, to identify malfunctions; dismantle devices, replace defective parts, and verify calibration and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Testing and calibrating systems using precision instruments to ensure proper operation.
  • Planning and prioritising work assignments effectively, selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Complying with all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies regarding building operations and workplace safety, ensuring tasks are completed responsibly and within set timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance, repair, and work order records; estimate time and materials for tasks and procure necessary supplies.

  • We need from you:


    • A core engineering qualification and sound maintenance experience, ideally within a facilities environment
    • Ability to pass Security Clearance (SC)
