Salary: £13.05 per hour.

Working Hours: 21 hours per week

Service: Essential Care and Support

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team in Blackhall Colliery, working at Abbeyvale Care Centre.

About The Role

The successful candidate will play avital part in promoting health and safety standards around Westward care, maintaining a safe working and living environment for our staff and the people we support. Your duties will include;

  • Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy generally.
  • Complete minor repairs.
  • Manage and prioritise own workload in order to complete repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with KPI/SLA timescales.
  • Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimise inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance.
  • Carry out such other maintenance duties as required or delegated by the Maintenance Team Leader or Operational teams.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met regarding all compliance, planned and preventative maintenance records.
  • Ensure our services remain an environmentally safe place to live for the people we support.
  • Ensure National Care Group’s vision and values are always adhered to.
