Description
About the role CBRE UK is expanding its Organisation Design Consulting capability and is seeking a Director/Manager-level consultant to lead the delivery of organisation design and operating model engagements across the real estate and built environment sector.
The successful individual will play a key role in the delivery and growth of our organisation design practice, with a particular focus on clients in the real estate and built environment sector.
This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who enjoys translating strategy into practical organisation design solutions, leading complex client engagements, and developing trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. While our work is concentrated in the real estate industry, prior sector experience is not required - we are looking for strong organisation design capability, sound judgment, and a collaborative consulting mindset.
This role will play a key role in building and strengthening our organisation design practice. We value individuals who combine deep expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset - someone who is comfortable innovating and developing new approaches as we expand our presence in the market. You will lead delivery on organisation design engagements, manage project teams, and contribute to the development of our growing practice.
What you will be doing:
Client Delivery Leadership
Lead the end-to-end delivery of organisation design engagements, from diagnostic through to implementation planning
Design and facilitate senior-level workshops (e.g. strategy-to-structure, operating model design, role clarity, decision rights)
Translate business strategy into clear organisation structures, role definitions, governance models, data and metrics strategy, and ways of working
Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including executives and functional leaders
Manage multiple workstreams and ensure high-quality, timely delivery across engagements
Organisation Design Expertise
Apply organisation design principles across areas such as:
Target operating models
Organisation structures and layering
Role and capability design
Accountability, decision rights, and governance
Ways of working and collaboration models
Balance conceptual rigour with practical, implementable solutions
Support clients through change implications arising from organisation design work
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor consultants and senior consultants on project teams
Provide day-to-day coaching, feedback, and quality assurance on deliverables
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
Practice Growth & Development
Contribute to the development of organisation design methodologies, tools, and points of view
Support business development through proposal development, scoping discussions, and client conversations
Share insights, learning, and emerging best practice across the practice
Help shape the evolution of our organisation design offering within a growing consulting practice
What you will need:
Experience in management consulting, internal consulting, or advisory roles
Strong experience delivering organisation design or operating model engagements
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisational dynamics
Experience leading project teams and managing consulting engagements
Industry experience is flexible - real estate experience is not required
Deep understanding of organisation design principles and frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complexity
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Able to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery
Commercially minded, with experience contributing to proposals or client development
Confident operating in ambiguity within a growing and evolving practice
Collaborative, thoughtful, and values-driven
Curious and motivated to learn about new industries and business models
Calm and credible under pressure
Passionate about helping organisations work better for their people and their performance
Why Join Us
Opportunity to play a meaningful role in a growing organisation design practice
Exposure to senior clients and complex, impactful transformation work
A culture that values quality, integrity, and thoughtful consulting
Real scope to shape offerings, ways of working, and the future direction of the practice
