Purpose of the job
This important role exists to support the Business Development (BD) Directors and go-to-market teams in the delivery of high-level, quality and innovative business development, marketing and communication initiatives.
Working as a collaborative member of the firm’s shared support team in ‘The Hub’, this role will provide executive support across a broad range of exciting business development and marketing initiatives and projects.

The Hub team will offer agile assistance, delivering valuable additional and flexible support to work on priority clients, practice/sector groups and markets, as the need arises.
This exciting role will enable Hub team members to learn a range of valuable skills, strengthening existing competencies and developing strong and lasting relationships across the firm, while gaining new insights and deepening knowledge. Full training will be provided.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Business development: Supporting across the spectrum of BD to help in developing new business opportunities and deepen existing client relationships. This might include research, creating business development collateral, CRM assistance, involvement in pitches, press and social media searches, management of invitation lists and follow-ups
• Practice and sector groups: Working flexibly across the different teams to provide hands-on executive support in the implementation of plans and projects
• Directories: Supporting the team in the creation and submission of Directory entries in Chambers and Legal 500
• Marketing campaigns: Working with the wider team to support with the implementation of campaigns. This might include working with brand and design, updating invitations, supporting events, mailshots, communications, website updates, social media posts and event follow-ups
• Communications: Helping the team with internal communications, creating posts using standard templates, tracking activity and assisting with reporting, helping with client alerts
• Digital, social media and website: Posting content onto website pages and social media, supporting with sourcing imagery, photography and infographics
• Operations support: Ad hoc operations support as needed
• Presentations: Updating and editing client and internal presentations
• Global support: Acting as part of a wider global team who collaborate and support each other on a global basis
• Digital skills: Keeping up-to-date with digital tools and applications to provide support with design, postings and formatting (training will be provided)

Skills and experience required
• Degree educated, ideally with a Marketing (CIM) qualification
• Professional services background
• Marketing and/ or Business Development experience
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Happy to work flexibly with agility across the business
• Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail
• Excellent written communication and project management skills
• Able to manage competing priorities, requiring multi-tasking and working to tight deadlines
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn
• Professional, confident and at ease with all seniority levels
• Good digital and social media skills
• Sunny disposition and positive outlook
