The Marketing Executive plays a key role in delivering audience-led communications and marketing campaigns to drive engagement, attendance and impact for IfG publications, products, newsletters and events.
Working within the communications and marketing team, this role is responsible for day-to-day CRM execution, use of segmentation, delivery of accurate email and marketing communications, and helping research teams across the IfG to achieve wider audience engagement with their work.
Using Zoho CRM and guided by data and analytics reporting, the postholder will create and deliver marketing campaigns by maintaining clean data records, deploying segmentation and building tagging strategies.
This is a hands-on, junior-to-mid-level role suited to someone detail-oriented and confident in communication, with an interest in digital tools, marketing and how to use data to engage target audiences.

Essential skills and experience
• Experience of using Zoho CRM for email campaigns.
• Familiarity with the Zoho CRM software suite.
• Familiarity with email campaign best practices including segmentation, list hygiene and consent management.
• Confidence handling structured data in spreadsheets (e.g. Excel or Google Sheets).
• Experience with UTM tracking and basic campaign analytics.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially in formatting, testing and deploying comms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Desirable
• Familiarity with automation or journey-based tools such as Braze, Customer.io or similar.
• Basic understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
• Exposure to CMS platforms such as Drupal (no direct editing expected, but useful context).
• A record of success and delivery in shaping and delivering digital marketing campaigns.
• Awareness of GDPR and email compliance rules in the UK.
