Description

A talented, highly organised and enthusiastic Marketing Executive is required to join the busy Marketing team at Morris & Company. You will have a couple of years’ experience under your belt working in a marketing capacity and be a real team player with a genuine love for communications and in particular, social media and PR. You will be part of a small but dynamic team which delivers the full spectrum of marketing support for our family run property businesses. The role offers opportunity to continue to learn and grow your skills and develop a successful career with us.


You will be confident in writing for print media and social media, a good communicator internally and externally and able to take responsibility for specific projects to ‘own’ and manage, as well as supporting on a wide range of activities working into our Senior Digital Executive and Communications Manager.

The role will include:


Content Creation & Social Media

  • Social Media Management: Own the end-to-end social media process, from creative planning and posting to hosting weekly content reviews and performance reporting.
  • In-House Content Production: Be the "eyes and ears" on the ground, confidently capturing, editing, and producing your own photography and video content.
  • Digital Content: Maintain and update website content regularly, ensuring all information is accurate and on brand.
  • Email Marketing: Draft, design, and issue newsletters using platforms like Mailchimp.
  • Multimedia Coordination: Oversee filming and content generation, collaborating with third parties such as videographers and photographers.

PR & External Communications

  • Storytelling: Proactively seek out news stories and secure necessary approvals from internal colleagues and external clients.
  • Media Relations: Research and draft editorial features and news stories, pitch and "sell in" ideas to relevant media outlets.
  • Media Monitoring: Maintain a proactive media monitoring programme and manage the media coverage log to track and report on success.

Internal Communications & Support

  • Internal Engagement: Supporting our buoyant internal communications programme including writing for the intranet, issuing memorandums, assisting in collating information for the company newsletter.
  • Enquiry Management: Provide telephone support for holiday rental bookings and ensure all enquiries are accurately logged.

Reporting & Administration

  • Financial Admin: Manage administrative tasks including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and developing an understanding of campaign budget tracking.
  • Reporting: Contributing to monthly reporting by gathering intel to assist in compiling and evaluating results.


About you

  • You possess exceptional writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt your tone for everything from a formal press release to an engaging social media post.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines with ease and maintaining a sharp eye for detail.
  • You have confident communication skills, adaptable across a range of channels and audiences.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally have experience with digital tools like Mailchimp or CMS platforms.
  • You don’t just wait for tasks, you bring fresh ideas for imagery, stories, and content to every meeting.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred, but we value talent and experience just as much.
  • Ideally 2 or more years’ experience in communications, PR, journalism or a similar field.
  •  A willingness to travel to our sites across Shropshire when needed.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
