About the Role
The role of Marketing Manager, Music focuses on the development and delivery of global marketing activity for a sheet music publishing programme. The remit includes creating and implementing marketing plans that reflect departmental priorities and growth objectives, with activity delivered across a range of channels. Marketing activity is intended to support product demand and increase awareness of a wide range of repertoire and composers, with an emphasis on consistency, clarity, and effectiveness.
Responsibility includes oversight of marketing delivery and performance, with analysis and reporting used to assess results against agreed targets and inform future planning. You will work in collaboration with colleagues across Music, Marketing, Sales, and Publishing to support coordinated campaign activity, effective messaging, and continual improvement in processes. Campaigns cover key products, composers, and strategic initiatives, with consideration given to the most appropriate mix of marketing approaches, including direct marketing, advertising, events, and social media.
You will also have responsibility for the coordination and development of a small team, ensuring objectives, responsibilities, and capacity are clearly defined and supported. Budget planning, monitoring, and reporting are integral to the position. As part of the music leadership group, you will contribute to shared planning and decision‑making to support overall departmental effectiveness. Success is reflected through timely delivery of activity, measurable contribution to departmental performance, and clarity among stakeholders regarding the purpose and impact of marketing work.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
