o To take responsibility/maintain and update the Maternity Reception rota, ensuring all duties are covered (including sickness and holiday periods).
To ensure ward cover when leave and sickness
Prioritise workload including staff management, reception and ward clerk cover.
o Maintain rotas for all areas and update Healthroster as required
o Organise and train new members of staff
o Answer the telephone and refer calls to the relevant member of staff as appropriate. When responding to these calls, be able to use own initiative and make appropriate decisions.
Provide administration support and reception duties (booking appointments for clinic, classes, tours, inductions and operations)
Prepare hospital notes for outpatient clinics within the care group and preparing inpatient notes.
o Perform clerical duties as required, e.g. filing notes/reports
o Registering new patients on to IPMS and booking clinics (when required) and other clinical data
