Description

Mechanical Estimator – Engenda Group (Permanent)

Runcorn | Full‑time | £55K+

Ready to take your estimating career to the next level with one of the UK’s leading engineering services groups? Engenda Group are growing, and we’re looking for a confident, technically minded Mechanical Estimator to join our commercial team in Runcorn.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves turning complex scopes into clear, accurate costs — and wants to do it in a business that values trust, teamwork, and doing things the right way.

What you’ll be doing

As our Mechanical Estimator, you’ll be right at the heartbeat of our project activity. Your role will include:

  • Reviewing client specs, drawings and technical documents
  • Producing detailed and accurate mechanical estimates and costings
  • Working with engineering, planning and project teams to validate scopes
  • Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
  • Supporting bid submissions and contributing to tender strategy
  • Helping ensure Engenda remain competitive, consistent and commercially strong

If you enjoy variety, collaboration, and having your voice heard in commercial decisions — you’ll love this role.

What we’re looking for

We’d be excited to speak with you if you have:

  • Mechanical engineering or estimating experience within industrial, energy, chemical, utilities or fabrication environments
  • Strong understanding of materials, labour, and installation methodologies
  • Confidence interpreting drawings, P&IDs and technical scopes
  • Great communication skills — you’ll be speaking with clients, partners and internal teams daily
  • A proactive, organised and detail‑driven approach
  • The ability to work on multiple bids at once without losing accuracy

Whether you’re an experienced Estimator or a mechanical professional ready to step into estimating — we’re open to background and potential.

Why Engenda?

Joining Engenda means joining a business with:

  • Long‑standing client relationships across the UK and Europe
  • A reputation for delivering high‑quality, safe and efficient engineering solutions
  • Genuine career progression and development opportunities
  • A friendly, supportive culture where people stay, grow and enjoy what they do
  • You’ll be part of a team that values your input, supports good ideas, and celebrates success together.

    How to apply

If this sounds like your next move, we’d love to hear from you.
