Position: Mechatronics Systems Training Engineer
Location: Stokesley
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Employment Type: Full-time
(Full UK Driving Licence required)
We're looking for a Mechatronics Systems Training Engineer to design and develop world-class technical training for Labman's engineers.
This is a unique opportunity to combine engineering expertise with learning and development, helping engineers build the skills and confidence needed to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and support complex laboratory automation systems.
You'll be responsible for creating practical training environments, developing engaging technical training materials, and ensuring knowledge is captured effectively across the business. Working closely with engineering, support, and operations teams, you'll help establish a structured and scalable approach to technical capability development at Labman.
This role is focused on designing and enabling training rather than delivering it directly. Initially, training will be delivered by experienced Labman colleagues, while you create the tools, systems, and environments that make learning effective.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop practical training rigs that support specific learning outcomes
- Establish and maintain a dedicated technical training facility
- Update training equipment to reflect current and legacy systems used by Labman customers
- Lead projects to build and improve training rigs and learning environments
- Create technical training materials covering maintenance, troubleshooting, and system operation
- Develop training content for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems
- Design practical exercises and assessment activities for different skill levels
- Support the introduction of induction, foundation, and advanced training pathways
