An exciting opportunity has arisen on Pine Ward to work as a Nurse practitioner. Pine Ward is a 20 bedded mixed acute ward.

This is a demanding and challenging role where, as a successful candidate, you will be required to demonstrate high levels of resilience, excellent problem solving and inter-personal skills as well as the ability to provide sound clinical and leadership support to team members.

The post holder will also demonstrate a passion for coaching leadership style, quality improvement and attitude which respects and values service users’ choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

The main duty is to be working as a registered nurse practitioner on Pine Ward.

This will include working a variety of shift patterns including mornings, afternoons, long days and night duties.

To promote and provide safe and good patient care to all service users and support their families

To be able to work within a team and autonomously when appropriate to ensure that service is delivered.

To work as part of a multi disciplinary team and liaise with all agencies to promote safe and up to date practice for service users.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services
in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

At the heart of all we do is our commitment to ‘perfect care’ – care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. We support our staff to do the best job they can and work alongside service users, their families, and carers to design and develop future services together. We’re currently delivering a programme of organisational and service transformation to significantly improve the quality of the services we provide and safely reduce cost as we do so.

Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
