The client is a fast growing financial services organisation expanding its mortgage product capabilities. As part of this growth, the organisation is progressing several mortgage initiatives including Product Transfer Phase 2, Seasonal Holiday Lets and Mixed Use and Semi Commercial mortgage propositions.
To support these initiatives, we are seeking a Business Analyst with strong financial services experience to work with business and technology teams to define requirements, shape solutions and support delivery of new mortgage products and enhancements.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical capability and experience delivering change within financial services environments. The role will support several concurrent initiatives across the mortgage product portfolio and will require strong stakeholder engagement and structured requirements management.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Product, Lending, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Technology teams to ensure that business requirements are clearly captured, documented and translated into delivery outputs.
This role suits a detail oriented individual who can work at pace, translate business concepts into technical requirements and ensure that delivery teams have the clarity required to implement change successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders to develop detailed business, functional and technical requirements as part of cross functional delivery teams.
Provide project level analysis and produce required documentation including business requirements, scope matrices, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals and UAT plans.
Work closely with business units to gain an in depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services and roadmap.
Facilitate workshops, interviews and working group sessions with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product and Operations to elicit detailed requirements.
Ensure the scope of change activities is clearly defined, documented and communicated to support delivery of the defined business objectives.
Design and gain support for new business operating models, processes and future state proposals.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
Create detailed process flows, data specifications and acceptance criteria to support User Stories and delivery teams.
Review draft requirements with Product Owners, functional SMEs and relevant build partners to ensure alignment and accuracy.
Prepare documentation for review and sign off and facilitate design review sessions with stakeholders.
Support delivery teams during implementation by resolving design related queries.
Work closely with stakeholders to support the creation of training materials and enable successful adoption of new processes and product features.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives and daily stand ups where required.
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant Business Analysis experience within financial services.
Demonstrable track record in requirements gathering, documentation and delivery support.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects or change initiatives.
Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate business concepts into technical requirements and explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Excellent written communication and verbal reasoning skills.
Strong attention to detail and structured documentation capability.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Experience working with Agile delivery methods and practices including User Stories and Acceptance Criteria is beneficial.
Experience using Business Analysis and change management tools such as Jira, Confluence, GSuite, LucidChart or similar platforms.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with mortgage products or mortgage lending processes.
Exposure to residential mortgage products or specialist lending propositions.
Experience supporting mortgage product launches or product enhancements.
Industry related qualification or certification is beneficial.
