TITLE: Motor Transport Technician (12 Month FTC)
DEPARTMENT: Motor Transport (TSD)
REPORTING TO: Motor Transport Supervisor
WORK PATTERNS: Monday to Friday
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
Support the inspection, maintenance, condition reporting, diagnosis and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment including cars, vans, buses, and trucks, ensuring all vehicles are safe, legal, and reliable for operation, providing both scheduled planned maintenance and defect repairs.
The Technician will be expected to work to a high standard and demonstrate technical competence through a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or equivalent.
Work hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30 and Friday 08:30-16:00.

The nature of the operation demands an adaptable person willing to learn and take on unfamiliar tasks working on a varied fleet, as well as being keen to assist in the development of both the department and operation as a whole.
