A Fantastic Opportunity: NMS Modelling Engineer
The NMS Modelling engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Operational Network Diagram and any changes applied to it are fit for use and in line with Code of Practice for Operation and Network Automation. This role is key to enabling DSO transition and leveraging real-time systems to support business performance through the use of data and network performance metrics.
An accurate network model is key to enabling the functions of the Network Management System (NMS), including new capabilities aligned to Net Zero delivery such as Active Network Management (ANM) and flexible services. Through the performing of daily tasks including following reports and checking the networks performance metrics, you will be responsible for resolving Operation Network Diagram issues, to ensure that the system operates in an optimum fashion.

What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and a solid grasp of key concepts in power engineering and schematic diagrams. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment. We value people who consistently deliver accurate, reliable work, and we welcome applicants who also have knowledge of data models, data structures, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), or Load Flow/Power Flow Analysis—though these are beneficial rather than essential. If you’re keen to grow, contribute, and develop your expertise in a dynamic engineering setting, we’d love to hear from you.
