Description

This company is a well‑established, owner‑managed specialist in building performance solutions, supplying technically complex products and services to the construction and infrastructure sectors in the UK and internationally. The business has a strong reputation for engineering excellence, quality and innovation, and is now entering the next phase of its development, focused on accelerating profitable growth, expanding its international footprint and further strengthening governance as the business scales.

To support this ambition, the business is seeking an experienced Non‑Executive Director to join the Board and provide independent challenge, strategic insight and commercial guidance. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of the company’s growth and international expansion strategy.

The Non‑Executive Director will act as a trusted sounding board to the CEO and senior team, supporting decision‑making while ensuring appropriate oversight of risk, governance and capital allocation. The role will also involve providing guidance on mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and value realisation initiatives as the business pursues its growth agenda.

The ideal candidate will bring prior Non‑Executive Director and senior executive experience, ideally gained within a technical product, construction or related industrial business. They will have a proven track record of delivering profitable growth in project‑based or technically complex environments, and a strong understanding of the entrepreneurial, owner‑manager mindset. Experience of developing international relationships, partnerships or routes to market that deliver sustained revenue growth will be important, as will hands‑on experience of M&A, including acquisition assessment and post‑deal integration and value realisation.
