Our client is a boutique procurement consultancy specialising in cost optimisation and cost-out programmes. They partner with organisations across multiple sectors to deliver tangible, sustainable savings across complex spend categories. Known for their pragmatic approach and strong client relationships, the consultancy is growing and now looking to expand its cost optimisation capability.
The Role
As a Procurement Consultant, you will work closely with clients to identify, design and deliver cost optimisation initiatives, with a particular focus on Non-IT and indirect spend. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll take ownership of procurement workstreams, engage senior stakeholders, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.
This role is fully remote, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact consulting projects while collaborating with an experienced and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support cost optimisation and cost-out initiatives across indirect and Non-IT-related spend
- Analyse spend data to identify savings opportunities and develop cost-reduction strategies
- Deliver end-to-end sourcing activities including market engagement, RFPs, negotiations and contract optimisation
- Challenge incumbent suppliers and commercial models to deliver improved value and reduced total cost of ownership
- Engage with senior client stakeholders to provide clear commercial insight and recommendations
- Contribute to the development of best-practice procurement tools, templates and methodologies
About You
- Proven experience in non-IT or general procurement, either in consultancy or an in-house environment
- Strong track record of delivering cost savings and value improvement initiatives
- Exposure to indirect spend categories (e.g. professional services, FM, marketing, HR, or other indirects)
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new spend categories
- Comfortable working autonomously in a remote consulting environment
- MCIPS or working towards (desirable but not essential)
