Nottinghamshire County Council through its strategic partner Culture, Learning and Libraries – Inspire delivers a high quality learning offer for adults and young people.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed and passionate about the power of adult learning to change lives for those furthest away from learning and employment.
Our delivery model in Nottinghamshire is through our partner Inspire. Our aim is to use the extensive library and leaning centre network to provide an integrated cultural and learning offer in local communities. Inspected by OfSTED in June 2023 we were assessed as a good provider, our aspiration is to be outstanding.
Our Inspire College study programme supports 300 young people who would otherwise be not in education or training. Inspire Adult Learning helps over 6000 leaners each year to access both informal and accredited courses.
With a team of 140 and a budget of £5M, this is a key leadership role for the County Council and Inspire. The post also commissions specialist providers, acts as the OfSTED nominee and reports to the Communities and Place portfolio of the County Council and the Inspire Learning and Skills Committee.
Note – this post at appointment will be seconded to Inspire, where you will be a member of the Inspire Leadership Team.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Inspire CEO – Peter Gaw Tel 0115 977 4201 – email [email protected]
Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th August at Inspire HQ, Glaisdale Parkway, Nottingham NG8 4GP.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.
