Ward 4 at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker to work within our established team of nursing staff in an acute mental health ward which operates as a standalone ward. The candidate should have experience within the field of mental health. The position offered is a permanent contract, 37 hours per week which requires both day/night rotation. All necessary mandatory training and induction will be given to the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete the Health Care Support Workers workbook, and code of conduct sign off within a specified time frame and attend the HCSW training dates.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
