Thank you for your interest in our advertised position: Nursery assistant / Early Years Practitioner. We are looking to appoint exceptional candidates and qualified childcare professionals with the responsibility for a key group within our preschool provision. You will perform an important role caring for children and maintain a high quality, stimulating learning environment. You will be creative and reflective and are able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and work as part of the Nursery team.
As a maintained school Nursery, St Mary's will have a teacher-in-charge whose role will be to facilitate high-quality teaching and learning planning and to support the team in delivering our goals and objectives.

We are a large (three-form-entry) primary school situated in the city centre of Southampton. We serve a diverse community with almost three-quarters of our pupils speaking English as an additional language.
We are led by an Executive Headteacher and a large leadership team that incorporates staff from sister-schools: Mason Moor Primary and Valentine primary
