We are seeking experienced and motivated Occupational Health Nurse Advisors to join our integrated Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, working collaboratively across Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team delivering high-quality occupational health services to a diverse workforce, including acute and ambulance staff, as well as a growing commercial client base. The varied caseload offers a rewarding mix of clinical practice, advisory work, and service development.

Main duties of the job
As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will manage your own clinical caseload, providing expert, evidence-based advice to managers and staff. The role requires strong clinical judgement, autonomy, and the ability to deliver clear, high-quality written reports.

Essential
- Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
Experience
Essential
- Demonstrates knowledge of occupational health legislation and best practice.
- Has experience managing a varied and complex clinical caseload.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can work autonomously, prioritise workload, and make sound clinical decisions.
- Is confident using IT systems and electronic patient records.

Working as a partnership, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have a shared vision for excellence in care for our patients and communities; with a set of strategic aims underpinning how we will achieve this.
The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
