Occupational Therapist

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 to work as part of a supportive team working with Older Adults patients in the community on a one-to-one bases whilst also providing support in a group format. You will be working as part of a small friendly and skilful Occupational Therapy team to provide focused Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to clients through 1:1 and group work.

This job will give you the opportunity to screen patients for groups, prepare and lead a number of groups including Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, whilst also working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, attending meetings whilst also working with patients in the community in their home.

You will be responsible for providing high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to the service. You will have regular supervision and supported with your developmental pathway.

Main duties of the job

Working within this busy team environment you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of clinical skills; including but not limited to undertaking OT assessments, delivering interventions - facilitating groups and individual sessions, whilst receiving support from Band 6's and the Band 7 in the team.

The post holder will have access to professional supervision and leadership within the team and across the Trust, and support in accessing

relevant development opportunities.
