Are you an OT looking for a new challenge in an innovative, one‑of‑a‑kind mental health service and to build on a very exciting quality improvement project aimed at improving the transition from inpatient admission back into the community?
If so, we may have just the role you're looking for. Maple Lodge is a self‑contained, 15‑bedded, mixed‑gender Mental Health Open Rehabilitation Unit located in Boston. We are seeking to appoint a full‑time Occupational Therapist to replace the current post holder.
Alongside the main duties within the remit of a ward Occupational Therapist, highlighted below, you will have the opportunity to be part of the implementation of the new Model of Care and the continued development of the community access transitional programme. This is designed to support clear guidance around the increased role responsibility required as a person works towards discharge.
Please note applicants must be able to drive, as they will have use of a car pool.
If invited to interview you will asked to complete a 10 minute presentation around this theme.
As a valued team member, you will work with service users, carers and the MDT to promote patients’ independence and improve their quality of life and well-being. Occupational performance and participation will be central to your practice, and you will be encouraged to
develop skills which support service users to achieve and maintain meaningful roles and routines.
We are looking for someone who: -
