In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with experienced Occupational Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You'll play a vital part in supporting individuals to build skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal goals--whether that's returning home, managing daily activities, or improving overall wellbeing.
No two days are the same. You'll be hands-on in delivering therapeutic interventions, supporting assessments, and working directly with service users across a range of settings. You'll have the opportunity to use your initiative, develop your clinical skills, and make a genuine difference to people's lives every day.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, caring, and enthusiastic about rehabilitation and recovery. In return, you'll be supported to grow in your role, develop your skills, and be part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and compassionate care.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner will work as an integral part of the Occupational Therapy team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. The post holder will work under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist to implement delegated assessments and therapeutic interventions, helping individuals to maximise their independence, safety, and participation in meaningful daily activities.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work directly with service users across a range of settings, supporting rehabilitation, recovery, and wellbeing. You will use your skills and initiative to contribute to care planning, monitor progress, and adapt interventions within agreed competencies.
The role requires excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, as well as a compassionate and proactive approach to supporting individuals with diverse physical, mental health, or cognitive needs.
