How You'll Make a Difference

As Operations Administrator in the Waste Management team, you will provide essential administrative and operational support, assisting with the efficient running of the waste management facilities and the wider operation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • It will be your responsibly to maintain accurate records, coordinate schedules and deliver comprehensive administrative support to the recycling and waste team.
  • Responding to telephone and online communications, you will provide accurate information to service and customer requests.
  • To ensure employees are paid correctly, you will manage timesheets and submit payroll records.
  • You will raise invoices, purchase orders and credit notes, and follow up on unpaid invoices.
  • It will be key for you to collect information, maintain records and prepare documents, ensuring procedures are implemented.
  • You will be responsible for placing weekly collection orders and liaising with hauliers and offtakers so that all site collection requirements are met.

What We Need From You

  • We require you to hold a minimum of 3 GCSE’s (grade C or above) or equivalent qualification, including English and maths or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of skills and experience.
  • It is essential you have experience working in an environment related to the service area or within a similar role.
  • Given the elements of this role, you will have excellent organisational skills and good attention to detail.
  • You will be able to gather and collate information, presenting clear and accurate findings that contribute to the preparation of reports.

  • What You Need To Know

    • This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week. Your salary is pro-rata to hours worked.
    • This is a limited term contract, until 29th March 2027.

    Interviews will be held on 23rd March 2026.
