Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist, based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, identifying visual impairments, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye health in collaboration with a skilled team. Additional responsibilities include staying updated with advancements in optometry, providing high-quality patient care, and maintaining accurate clinical records. You will also work to educate patients on preventative eye health and collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting eye examinations and evaluating visual impairments
- Experience in prescribing corrective lenses and contact lenses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to operate optical diagnostic equipment effectively
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and clinical record accuracy
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments and best practices in optometry
- Qualified and registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Degree in Optometry or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage
