We are looking for motivated, compassionate Junior Sister/Charge Nurses to join our friendly, dynamic, and supportive team in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital.
In this leadership role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, safe, and family-centred emergency care for children and young people. Working closely with the Senior Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, you will support and lead the nursing team, coordinating and overseeing shifts in their absence and ensuring excellent standards of care are consistently maintained.

Main duties of the job
• To support the ED Sister/Charge Nurse in leading the nursing team, ensuring that high standards are met and maintained for all children and their families
• To support the ED Sister/Charge Nurse ensuring the departments ethos reflects the Trust values, and assist with the delivery of patient safety, a good patient experience and the effective running of the department
• To act as a skilled practitioner and senior nurse within the Emergency Department to ensure that the highest quality of care is given to patients
• Ensuring that all clinical practice is evidence based, in accordance with local and national standards for good practice
• To assist in the clinical management of the Emergency Department by ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources, and providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to the team
• In conjunction with the Clinical Matrons / Team Leaders and other Sisters / Charge Nurses facilitate the development of the service and personal development of all nursing staff within the clinical area of responsibility
• To take the lead on projects as appropriate
