Make a Difference in the Lives of our Children and Young People within Nottinghamshire.

Are you passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of young people? Do you thrive in collaborative environments and have the initiative to work independently? Nottinghamshire is searching for an outstanding dedicated professional to join our Partnership Team as a Peripatetic Local Authority Officer.

About The Role

In this dynamic and impactful role, you will collaborate closely with schools, academies, local authority teams, alternative education providers, and various agencies to reduce fixed-term suspensions and permanent exclusions. Your role will include:

  • Holding insightful consultations
  • Providing essential support and guidance
  • Mediating with young people and their families
  • Delivering impactful staff training
  • Produce reports and data analysis for our Elected Members and Heads of Service

We are seeking someone with experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as those with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will play a key role in the Partnership Team, but you will also need to exercise a high degree of independence and problem-solving skills.

What We Are Looking For

If you are someone who shows a passion for inclusive practices in schools, communicates with empathy and understanding, and is prepared to challenge when necessary, using a strength-based approach, we want to hear from you. Join us in making a tangible impact and fostering a supportive educational environment.

Apply now and become part of our team dedicated to building a brighter future for our children and young people.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
